According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols and is sidelined for an indefinite period of time.
Paul’s status is up in the air for the start of the Western Conference finals. Suns will face the winner of the Jazz-Clippers series, which is tied 2-2.
The NBA has yet to release the schedule for the conference finals, but a potential Game 7 in the Jazz-Clippers conference semifinals would be played Sunday. Game 5 goes Wednesday night with Game 6 set for Friday.
Depending on the medical circumstance, an isolation period could be shorter for a vaccinated individual. Suns ambition to reach 2020-21 NBA finals will hang in balance if CP3 set to miss significant time away from the basketball.
