NBA : Lakers defeat Clippers 131 – 106 in second preseason game

Los Angeles Lakers handed second preseason loss to rivals Clippers, after defeating them 131 – 106 on Sunday at Staples Center. Once again second year guard Talen Horton-Tucker put on a show for Lakers, he finished game with 33 points, 10 reb, 4 assists and 4 steals.

Lakers rested star duo LeBron James and Anthony Davis for second game in row. While Schroder, Matthews, Alex Caruso, Kostas Antetokounmpo and Devontae Cacok rested for tonight’s game.

Coach Frank Vogel made couple of changes to the starting five from the game 1 win, Marc Gasol, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Markieff Morris replaced Wesley Matthews ,Dennis Schroder and Montrezl Harrell.

Los Angeles Clippers stick to the same starting line-up from game 1. Lakers were unstoppable on both ends of the floor, total six Lakers scored in double digits, led by Talen Horton-Tucker’s 33 points on 11-17 shooting from the field and 4-5 from 3pt range.

Kyle Kuzma adds 25 points on 8-14 shooting from the field and 4-7 from 3pt range along with 6 boards and 4 assists. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Markieff Morris scores 16 & 11 pts respectively.

Montrezl Harrell (19 pts) , Quinn Cook (14 pts on 4-5 3 pt shooting) provides much needed spark off the bench. Lakers as a team shot 72.0%(18-25) from 3 pt range.

For Clippers total three players scored in double figures, led by Veteran guard Lou Williams. Lou scored 12 points in just under 6 minute on 6-7 shooting from the floor. Kawhi Leonard adds 11 points on 4-7 shooting.
