Los Angeles Dodgers are 2020 World Series Champions after a 3-1 Game 6 win over Tampa Bay Rays. This will be 7th World Series title in Dodgers history, 6th title after moving to Los Angeles from Brooklyn. Dodgers Waited 32 years to win 7th title, their last World Series triumph came in 1988. Their previous Championship came in 1955, ’59, ’63, ’65, ’81 & ’88.

Corey Seager become first shortstop to win World Series MVP since 2010, the last Shortstop won the award was San Francisco Giants’ Edgar Renteria. Corey Seager registered 8 hits, 2 Home Runs, 5 RBI, 7 RUNS and 0.400 BA.
Dodgers make final comeback to win it all in Game 6
The Dodgers were down in this game early, when red hot Rays rookie Randy Arozarena’s record 10th Home Run of the post season in the top of First innings gave Rays 1-0 lead.
For 5 1/3 innings, the Dodgers couldn’t touch Rays starter Blake Snell. He struck out 9 of the 18 Dodgers he faced. He allowed two baserunners — a Chris Taylor single in the third inning and an Austin Barnes single with one out in the sixth inning.
Then Rays manager Kevin Cash pulled Snell in favor of right-handed reliever Nick Anderson. The decision surprised many in the Baseball community and including Dodger players.
Mookie Betts, who struck out in his two at-bats against Snell, doubled on the third pitch he saw from Anderson. Barnes scored on a wild pitch to tie the score 1–1 and Betts took third base. Then Corey Seager grounded to first base. Betts was off on contact and scored the Dodgers’ second run. Then he scored the Dodgers’ third when he hit a solo home run off Pete Fairbanks in the eighth inning.
In this postseason, the Dodgers have had signature moments, incredible defensive plays and huge home runs. Game 6 had the amazing rescue.
The Dodger bullpen came in after starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin was pushed by the Rays and out of the game in the second inning. Six relief pitchers — Dylan Floro, Alex Wood, Pedro Báez, Victor González, Brusdar Graterol and Julio Urías — combined to allow two baserunners over 7 1/3 innings, striking out 12 Rays batters.
The capper was Urías, who retired all seven batters he faced, ending the game by striking out Willy Adames on three pitches. The Dodgers won 3–1. In the Process Julio Urias become the youngest player to record a save in a World Series potential clinching game since 1981 (Steve Howe).
Baseball’s best team in the 2020 regular season came back from a 3–1 deficit to beat the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS. They survived one of the most heartbreaking losses in their playoff history in Game 4 of the World Series.
After the Game Mookie Betts said, “We’ve worked so hard from Spring Training to now. We prepared for all these situations that came. We executed when it was time to execute. When our backs were against the wall we came back. We overcame adversity. Everything’s special about this group of guys and you know we love each other.”
