Ole : “If we can get this determination, mindset, approach every single game, we’ll be hard to play against “

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praises his players, after Manchester United defied fatigue to beat Everton 3-1 on Saturday in his post-match interviews on MUTV and BT Sport . Manager also not impressed with the fixture scheduling after three players injured on the night.

Ole felt United need more wins like today and he also praised man of the match winner Bruno Fernandes, Mid-field duo Fred & McTominay and also CaptainHarry Maguire.

Ole on the Win& Players Mindset :

“If we can get this determination, mindset, approach every single game, we’ll be hard to play against. You see all the tackles that Scott and Fred were winning in the middle there, we’re tight, we’re compact, we win the ball, we play, we’ve got spaces, that’s how we want to see these boys. So we’re very pleased with that.

“I can’t praise the boys enough for the character that they’ve shown. I didn’t want to do it [talk about the schedule] before the game, because I don’t want to start giving them excuses before but after, you have to have some common sense to let these boys showcase what they’re really about. I thought we saw that at times today but to get this product better, fixture scheduling has to be better.”

Ole on Bruno Fernandes Performance :

“Bruno was brilliant, top, absolutely top. Fantastic. It was a great performance, of course, leading the boys. His desire and determination, he’s everywhere on the pitch. Sometimes that frustrates me because sometimes passes are played to where he should have been and he’s not there. But when you’ve got someone who drives them [the team] on like this, of course you’re very happy.”

Ole on Captain MAGUIRE’s performance
:

“Harry’s very, very important for this team. When you play against Everton, you know they’re going to put crosses in the box. [Everton striker Dominic] Calvert-Lewin is one of the best in the world at timing, leaping, heading, he’s got a great teacher in Duncan [Ferguson] of course and I thought Harry and Victor [Lindelof] did really well.”

Ole on CAVANI’S first-goal in United colors :

“Hopefully, he’s getting better and better and sharper and sharper. Today, it was just trying to finish the game off, because we played well. It’s great for him to get his first goal. That’s a weight off his shoulders and now he’s just ready to kick on.”

Ole on Midfield duo FRED AND MCTOMINAY’s performance :

“Scott and Fred have done brilliantly together. They’re a great partnership. Of course they didn’t play during the week, Scott played 45 minutes in Turkey, but you could see they had fresh legs. They had that energy in the engine room. They’re always key for us, so our creative players can go on and create chances, show their magic. They’re so disciplined and we’re very pleased with the two of them.”
