Hungarian GP weather forecast : High temperatures on Friday and Chances of rain on Sunday predicted

mixed weather conditions forecasted throughout weekend for 2021 Hungarian GP.

Round 11 of 2021 Formula 1 season will be taking place at Hungaroring on July 30-August 1 weekend.

The Weather forecast for 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix is mixed, high temperatures expected on Friday, while high chances of rain predicted for Saturday’s qualifying and Sunday’s race.

Friday Free Practice 1 & 2 (July 30)

Friday weather expected to be Sunny and dry with temperatures reaching as high as 34C. Wind speed of  9 km/h is expected to blow across the track. Weather will turn Partly cloudy during the evening with thunderstorms becoming likely overnight. Low temperatures near 20C is expected over the night. 

So teams can effectively use the Friday practice session without any rain interruption to extract the much setup data for qualifying and race. As weather on Saturday and Sunday will be mixed.

Saturday FP3 & Qualifying (July 31)

With Friday night thunderstorms , the rubber from Friday running will be washed out and track will turn green for FP3 on Saturday. Because of cloud cover Saturday temperatures are expected to be lower than Friday, with high temperature expected to be around 30C. 24% chance of rain forecasted for Qualifying…but for fans, rain will mix up the grid for Sunday’s race.

Once again Scattered thunderstorms expected in the evening and overnight.

Sunday Main Race, (August 1)

Saturday night thunderstorms expected to continue on Sunday morning and evening as well, with 70 % chance of rain one can expect mixed race conditions if not full wet race.

On a track where overtaking is really tough, rain will add an extra element of excitement for everyone. With both championships are separated by small margins, any mishaps in rainy conditions will be devastating for lead teams before the summer break.
