Heat defeat Celtics 125-113 in Game 6 and Reaches NBA finals for the first time since 2014

Miami Heat defeats Boston Celtics 125-113 in Game 6 of Eastern Conference Finals to reach first NBA finals since 2014 season. Celtics will head to home after another disappointing season.

The Celtics whittled a six-point first-quarter deficit to two by halftime, and they had a game-high six-point edge with 9:15 remaining. Miami’s shooters caught fire from that point, with the Heat finished on a 35-17 run to notch the series-clinching win.

Jaylen Brown’s 26 points, which he partly complemented with eight rebounds and four assists, led the Celtics. Jayson Tatum’s line included 24 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds. Marcus Smart and Kemba Walker generated matching 20-point tallies, with Smart notching eight rebounds and Walker recording five assists. Gordon Hayward contributed 12 points.

Bam Adebayo’s 32 points, which he partly supplemented with 14 rebounds, led the Heat. Jimmy Butler’s line included 22 points and eight assists. Tyler Herro furnished 19 points, seven assists and five boards. Duncan Robinson and Andre Iguodala provided 15 points each.
