BCCI Announces T20I,ODI & Test squads for Tour of Australia on Monday 26th October. Team India will take part in three T20Is, three ODIs and four Test matches against Australia.
Rohit Sharma & Ishant Sharma excluded from the selection due to Injuries. Selectors & BCCI will monitor their health progress before taking necessary call.
Virat Kohli remains Captain for all-three format of the game, while KL Rahul named as vice-captain for T20I & ODI in the absence of injured Rohit Sharma. Ajinkya Rahane will be Test vice-captain
Young players, who are performing well in the ongoing IPL tournament at Dubai, got call from national selectors to play for Indian National team.
Rajasthan Royals wicket-keeper, Sanju Samson and Kolkata Knight Rider’s spin bowler Varun Chakravarthy will be part of 16-men T20I squad, while Rishabh Pant left out of T20I & ODI squad. But The Young lefty retained his place for Tests.
Shubman Gill & Navdeep Saini are notable young addition to ODI squad based on their domestic & IPL form, Gill also part of Test squad. While Mohd. Siraj is added to Test Squad after impressive performance in the ongoing IPL.
BCCI also announced that Four additional bowlers – Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Kartik Tyagi, Ishan Porel and T. Natarajan – will travel with the Indian contingent.
